Like many other homeowners, we were affected by the hailstorms the summer of 2014. In June, I received a mailer from Robert Kelley @ A Better Roofer and contacted him to quote a re-roofing job. After our insurance adjuster totalled our roof, we hired A Better Roofer to re-shingle our home. We were satisfied until spring of 2016, less than 2 years after they shingled our home - we developed a water leak in our living room's vaulted ceiling.
I attempted to contact Robert Kelley 4 times, thru voicemail and e-mail over the course of several weeks since our roof was still fairly new to see if he could find the source and repair the leak. He never returned my phone calls. His contract we signed with him stated a 10 year warranty regarding roof leaks and a lifetime warranty for workmanship.
Apparently those are useless if your company is either unresponsive or out of business. Upon further investigation, I discovered thru the Colorado Secretary of State business license website that he has dissolved his company August 2, 2015. My only remedy at this point is to find a reputable roofing company to fix the roof leak. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB, but I am of the opinion that will accomplish nothing for me.
