Achten's Quality Roofing

I came into the showroom to see if I could buy some shingles to replace a spot on my 25 yr old 3 tab. They didnt have any BUT they were very friendly and helpful in directing me to another place up the road. There's no doubt that if they would've had what I needed, they would've given it to me free. Nice office staff. Thank u.

We had these guys fix our porch roof because it was leaking. Well, now a few years later it is leaking in the exact same spot. I called them to see if they'd repair it again. They told me someone will be calling me back. No response. Been over a week. I guess they don't warranty their work. Look elsewhere for your roofing needs.

We used Achten's for a new roof years ago and called them to do plumbing vents for our current remodel. They did quality work and came out when we needed them. I had a very good experience with Achten's. They came recommended by another roofing company who didn't do the specialty work I needed. Achten's bid was very competitive, their salesperson was knowledgeable, experienced, and polite, and didn't exert the pressure that many other estimators did. Their operations manager and other office staff were responsive, polite, and fair, and the work crews did excellent work, going out of their way to make everything perfect before they left. I would hire them again and recommend them without reservation.

We had a 3 companies out for estimates after being told by our gutter cleaning company that it was time for a new roof. Achtens was the first company to come out and give us a quote. Larry didn't bother to get on the roof, and was full of sales lines and tactics (bad used car salesman vibe). He included a new kitchen stove vent in the quote (our stove vent doesn't even go through the roof).

When I saw the quote and mentioned that our stove vents through the wall, he said "no problem. I'll take about $20 off the price." The next two contractors both took the time to access the roof and did a thorough inspection. Both contractors said there was no need to replace our roof at this time and we could easily get another 3-5 years minimum out of our current roof.

Being the "good" salesman Larry is, when I told him what the other roofers said, his response was that "if it was my roof I would replace it sooner than later and save money as the price of roofing is only going up and not down." We'll definitely be going through one of the honest roofers when it comes time to replace it.

Came to fix my moms roof, had us park across the street we own two 04 subaru sti one which sits under a car cover unless we got to move it we didn't notice it till we went to drive it again in the day time, we called them they said they were going to come look at it and take photos of it after the boss got over covid (its been three weeks since we called them) and now there not going to come out because we can't prove it except we can we took photos the first day we moved them across the road and there wasn't any of theses (we have dated photos) they also left nails all in our back yard for our dogs to step on and gutter pieces on our ground. 0/10 don't recommend

The crew was friendly, quick and great at their job. The scheduling was responsive and provided updates as the job got closer to the start date. For a complete removal of the old roof and installation of a new roof, the mess in the yard was huge. By the time they were done, there was barely a trace they had been there. Great job all around.

HELP! Please read and HELP SPREAD THIS AS FAR AS POSSIBLE! We had a 20+ year old roof that was leaking, the 7 companies that gave estimates we felt that achtens gave the best warranty and option to pay via a loan. However they were also the most expensive. None the less we took the chance and boy were we wrong. Roof looks great. But they talked us into the smart vent.

And a couple things that have transpired. Less than a year into the new roof, which I will state we had all new sheeting, roofing, weather barrier, facia, gutters THE WORKS. Aside from some of the new sistered trusses to help the cleaner lines the TRUSSES were the only thing ACHTENS hasn't INSTALLED. Everything is new, and an ENTIRE row of sheeting, plywood sheeting, is molding.

We called Achtens in horror. The owner Justin, came to the house only after an employee came to the house and all admit " yep it's molding. But state they did nothing wrong. The venting is clearly done correctly. Call GAF warranty to make a claim". I called a roofing inspector. Inspector states the venting is the issue AND it appears the shingles don't even appear to be the matching correct shingles. Called in claim to GAF.

Their response time was months between and sent a guy to review. He stated he wasn't going in the attic as his product isn't in there. So he cannot fully see the problem but states the product was installed correctly. I have called the owner Justin multiple times, left multiple voicemails and no return calls yet. $30,000 MOLDING ROOF WITH USELESS WARRANTY.

I'm a REALTOR. there's no way that I can recommend a company that treats its customers like this. We have a baby in the home and our health is possibly even at risk and they don't care. They "did nothing wrong".

We couldn't be happier with our new roof from Achten's. From the initial sales visit with Larry to the final install with their crew everything went about as smooth as one could ask for. The roofing crews were polite, professional and made it a point to clean up at the end of the day. They were quick to answer any questions we had. If you want a company that does a great job, stands by their products and have a fair price, compared to the 8 other quotes we got, you won't go wrong with Achtens. Also their seamless gutter sub contractor is top notch as well.

I have used Achten's twice to replace my shed roofs. I appreciated that they were willing to come out and do a small job not once but twice! Workers both times were professional and efficient. I would absolutely use them again. Only regret on my last shed is I didn't keep a few extra shingles "just in case"! Service: Roof installation

Achten's installed 3 solar tubes and converted our odd integrated gutter system to traditional attached gutters. There was one tech for 3 days and he did an excellent job. Very professional and the site was cleaned up each day. BTW, we did not like how blue the light was from the tubes, bought some yellow photo filters and really improves the color. I would use them again.

Called three roofing companies to give us a bid on a new roof and Achten's was the only one to show up. Carl was great to work with, he's knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was also very patient as we discussed and figured out which roof and color we wanted. We went out of town during the time the roof was replaced and pleasantly surprised when we came home and find the roof completed and the job site cleaned up.

The new gutters and downspouts were installed a couple of days later and they did a great job. I'd recommend Achten's to anyone looking for a good roofing company. Thank you to Carl and the Achten's crew. We appreciate the work you did for us.

Everything I experienced and witnessed was professional, done with pride and precision. I was kept informed by the company and crew each step of the project. The crew that you had work on my house re-roof was very hard working and did excellent cleanup each day. You could see the pride they had working for your company. The scope of my project changed with having to replace all the plywood.

The entire process, removal of old roofing & plywood timing of new product delivery was smooth and didn't slow the completion. I had a complete tear off, reinstall of my roof, with new gutters finished shortly before a heavy rain. Highly recommend this company.

Selected Achten's based upon a neighbor's recommendation, GAF shingle selection and of course their bid. Carl the estimator was a joy to work with. He told us what was needed, what wasn't absolutely necessary and our choices to keep the cost appropriate. The work was completed in 3 days and we could not be happier with the look of the finished product. The installation crew was first rate, on time each day and very professional. Very good communication with everyone involved.

Got a bid from Achten's with 4 other offers. They presented the best proposal with product brochures, knowledgeable sales rep and sound company profile. After 25 days of analysis, I called Achten's to have them start my project. I was disappointed on my response with a price escalation on my bid which stated a "30 day" price guarantee. No price negotiation was accepted by Achten's.

They stated increase material cost as their reason. I was afraid once my project started, would there be another price issue? I went with another excellent local roofing contractor.

I asked Achten's and a few others to quote on removing a chimney chase. Dave prepared the estimate for Achten's and was the only one who actually got on the roof to evaluate the general condition of the roof and the flashings. After accepting their quote, I asked them to delay the work, so we kept in touch periodically. When they sent Nicholas out to do the work, he was very personable and did a great job of communicating with me about my expectations before completing the work.

Achten's came out to our condo on Thursday, July 29th.we were told they would have a bid to us by Tuesday. After calling Achten's Tuesday, and twice on Wednesday and then calling today, Thursday, we are told they can't do our roofs. Really? you couldn't tell us this in a timely manner? Why do we have to call your company so many times?

If quality is your banner, it needs to include callbacks in a timely manner and a bid or refusal on the date you quoted. We are not upset you are not doing our roofs.we are upset at your poor customer service. TERRIBLE!

Great work; two small issues afterwards. Immediately fixed! We can recommend! Chris, who managed our project, came out himself to look at a problem we were having with the gutters after the newest storm, fixed things, and gave us some advice.

Very disappointing that we chose Achten's roofing to begin with. Three years ago we hired them to replace roofs on two structures;house and garage. About $25,000 in work. We carefully asked what we needed to do to assure no mildew growing in attic. The bidder came out and looked at attic and told us we needed ridge vents. Had 3 roofers come and this guy from Achten's seemed the most knowledgeable and so we went with Achten's. Regretful choice.

Three years later our attic is molded on sheeting which we completely replaced with roof job. The warranty person, Justin, came to look at issue. Could tell from his response when here it had been a worthless waste of time and sure enough his report came back that they would do nothing to help out. He consulted with Darren who had bid the job and had returned at least once during roofing project on our roof. Darren said he didn't go check out our attic when he bid the job or during project.

That was interesting because he did and admitting he didn't hence raises a lot of other issues of liability for this company. We have hired an inspector who said that there is some of the mildew look on some sheeting was perhaps due to some boards used were wet. Also they failed to connect the range pipe to their newly installed vent. Another inspection indicated too much condensation coming with ridge vent.

Now Achten's says we don't have enough intake ventilation which they didn't say originally and interesting they can do math now but not when they bid or did a job.

Our roof was in DIRE condition, leaking and we had tarps on it. Matt did our quote and had us dialed in with the best offer we had to date, we had 7 other quotes from small to large companies. Then. The stay home stay safe was placed and we thought we wouldn't get our roof done for a long time! But because it was leaking, we got an emergency allowance!

The crew showed up and we ended up needing a COMPLETE overhaul as we expected and re sheeted the whole roof, removed our destroyed chimney, new fascia, new look outs, new gutters and new venting system. and in just shy of three days work they were done! We are so happy! Thank you Achtens!

If it was possible to give a negative review I would. This company didn't finish my roof and as a result I got rats. This fact was confirmed by the exterminator I had to hire to get rid of the rats. He was the one that pointed out the roof wasn't finished and that was the entry point forthe rats. When my wife talked to the supposed owner he said too bad.

The gentleman that handled my quote was great, but he isn't the owner. How can you charge someone $19k for a roof, not complete it, get rats as a result and not take care of the problem? This company was 1 of my 3 bids. Anyone that is reading this GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!

It took 4 days to tear off the wood shake and install the new composite shingles. They did a great job cleaning around the area after the job was completed. There was a damaged shingle that needed to be replaced. They came back out and replaced the shingle and left me with some shingles for future repair. I recommend this outfit due to good customer service with Drew.

I called them to give me an estimate on a leaking skylight and soft spot on my roof. Seemed really professional and customer focused. Gave me an estimate on the cost. I paid in full and waited to here when they would schedule the repair. Then I get a call back a week later they don't want to do the repairs but would replace the whole roof. The roof is only four years old. I would recommend to go somewhere else. If I could give zero stars I would. Really disappointed

Had a new roof done by Achten's early in 2016. 16 months later, in my personal opinion, worst experience ever! In one word. Unprofessional. I would personally suggest, that you do your homework, via Public Courthouse Records, in multiple counties, and such, prior to making a decision and signing any contract documents. I personally regret not digging deeper when researching various roofing companies, prior to selecting Achten's as my roofing contractor.

In hindsight, I more than likely would have gone with another company. Good luck! HELLO! The mason was told by D****, he would get a call back, from D**** this morning. I received a call this morning around 9:30, from my mason, stating he had Not heard from D****. My mason has attempted to make contact with D****. He got his voicemail and it was full, still. Mason unable to leave a msg. I also sent a text to D**** this morning, letting him know the mason was trying to contact him.

My text this morning also included the masons #. I have not received a reply, nor has the mason. I also attempted to call D****. No answer, his voicemail has been full since February! Still no reply. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Had them replace my old roof in summer of 2016. It started leaking in November 2016. Nothing but mistakes from day one! Nails left in driveway( every time they visit). Vents not hooked back up. Sun tunnel not installed correctly. I will most likely have to have an inspection done by an independent contractor. Once again do not use these people to do anything to your home. I'm stuck now using them because I signed a contract, but hopefully you will read my review and not make the same mistake we made.

3 weeks of regular follow up with them every few days, still haven't received my estimate

I called last week, on 4/12/2016 to make an apt to have an estimate done for a new roof, gutters and some sheeting. It is now 4/21/2016 and I have not heard back from anyone at this company. When I originally called, I was told someone would contact me in a few hours because the reps handle their own schedules. I was referred to this company by 3 different people and even messaged the owner about coming out before hand and gave him the details of what we were wanting.

We contacted these people for an estimate. They were very prompt and even got our roof installed early. The crew was amazing. Jerry was very good at returning calls. Add ins were irritating. Would recommend them and would use them again

Great work. Worked with Grant who was very timely with everything despite their busy schedule and always responded to my phone calls.

We are very happy with the new roof. Prompt, courteous service and a great value overall. We have a flat roof that needed repairs after the previous roofing company made several mistakes. Achten's took care of the problems left behind by the other company.

Called for estimate to clean and moss control a 10 year old roof (light cleaning). Also asked for a few spots nailed better. The bid was $1870. Absolutely rediculous. 1 good guy could easily do it in a day.

We had the best experience imaginable with Achten's. First of all, we thought we were going to be doing the roof ourselves as we had gotten two quotes from major roofing companies that would have wiped out our savings. Achten's came in at half the price of the big companies. So, we were wary. But our fears were put aside. The crew came out, they were professional and on time.

The job was done well (we have had several rain storms and keep checking but it all looks great) and they cleaned up everything! We found one scrap of paper and had to sweep some dust off our porch but our lawn, walkways, and porches were roofing free. We loved the work they did, the gentleman who did the estimates was very professional, and the crew was easy to have here. And my 64 year old husband's knees are saved from a roofing job. Doesn't get better than that.

Well. here's an honest review for you! Just had my hoise pressure washed, as well as my driveway, and decks. I have tried doing this myself before and wrenched my back for days! Last year I hired this company to pressure wash my roof. It wasn't a great experience. And some of the miscommunication could have been because I made assumptions. But--They have several new staff, and have done a 180 on their service and attitude. they are definately professional, courteous, and thorough.

Their crew did a great job. I will hire them again in 2 years when the decks and driveway get overgrown! It's family owned and I'm sure they'll be around. If you need pressure washing or exterior cleaning these are your Guys!
