Set up an appointment weeks ago and called to confirm today. The lady I spoke to never set up my appointment and I have major work that needs to be done from serious rain we had. Do not waste your time, call Quality 1st, much more organized reputable company. Anthony was my inspector and he was phenomenal. Your loss A1.

Lou from A-1 came out to my house to address a sump pump and discharge drain issue and provided suggestions about the best way to solve the problem. He gave me more than one option and provided the expected outcome of each one. He was professional and responsive to all my concerns. He and his guys showed up at the promised time, once again described the scope of the work, and got to work immediately. Drilling through foundations and digging for drain pipes is dirty and noisy work, as expected.

When I saw the finished product, I simply could not believe that anyone had even been at my house. All of his guys were polite and professional and everything was completed in an efficient manner. I highly recommend A-1 should you have a waterproofing concern.

Moved into my first home in May, the first week we got a little bit of rain and noticed water coming in the basement. I couldn't even tell from where! I didn't know who to call so I asked a contractor friend of mine who recommended American A-1, in talking with friends about my issues 4 more people had similar problems and all of them had used A-1!

So naturally I called A-1, Roland came out and within minutes he had found the source of the water and talked me through what steps would be needed to fix the problem. They set up a date to come out and get to work! The crew were all very nice and extremely professional. I held off on writing a review and after a few bad storms, and the remnants of Hurricane Ida I can say with certainty that American A-1 did an excellent job and I would 100% recommend them to any one needing home waterproofing!

Roland was extremely helpful and honest with his estimate for waterproofing our basement. The crew was courteous and knowledgeable. Would recommend A1 to anyone with basement water issues. We asked to have the concrete level with the existing tile since we are installing a floating floor. Their work was top notch. No water issues since.

Exceptional! From start to finish we felt confident with this company. Every step of the way they were professional, from the first person who answered the phone, to the guy who came and gave us an estimate, and even the hard workers that did all the work hauling everything out of our basement. All members of their team were masked and arrived on time.

I would highly recommend them. They also provided us with the best price. Please look at our before, during, and after pics they were amazing. We painted, they did not paint. We haven't had water since!

My experience with American A-1 Waterproofing has been amazing. Lou has responded to every question we've had in a timely fashion. His workers were on time, friendly and did an outstanding job. We expected a large mess after the work was done and we were pleasantly surprised with how clean they left the basement. Lou went above and beyond to get the job done quickly and helped us out even after the job was done when we needed extra work done to finish our basement. From start to finish, my experience with Lou and his workers was excellent. He was very responsive and available for any and all questions. Even came to my home for an extra visit to discuss project in detail with other family members that weren't present during original estimate! Pricing was very fair. I had workers at my home for three full days of work.

They always arrived in time and worked tirelessly for each work day. Digging was extensive to replace 5 poorly done window wells that were existing. He also redirected multiple downspouts (some underground) and tore out concrete. Once all the concrete was taken away, he made a retaining wall and poured new cement along the side of my home (almost 40 feet long).

The concrete replacement was all pitched away from my home and done with attention to detail. As a newer home owner, I was eager to get this project done to protect the integrity of my home. I felt safe and came to trust Lou throughout the process and will never regret hiring him for the job.
