GSM installed our heating and cooling unit. Last week it stopped cooling so we called GSM first since they're logo and contact is on our outside unit and indoor thermostat. A technician texted and said they couldn't come out but they would put us on the list to be called the next morning. I called them the next morning at 9:30am because I hadn't heard from them.

They took down my information as if that was the first time they heard from us. Another technician eventually called later in the day and said they wouldn't be able to come out until the next Tuesday, 6 days away. On one of hottest days we've had this year, I could not wait that long. I also have a disabled, home bound family member who lives with me.

At this point it was 82 degrees in the house. It's a little far-fetched they advertise and consider themselves a 24hr emergency service with that kind of turn around. I then called Dilling Heating and Cooling. They were able to work me in the same day, were thorough, and the technician was very knowledgeable. We would've been happy to do business with GSM and I am surprised at our experience considering all the great reviews on Google and our unit is one they installed. Hopefully no one else has this experience, especially in this heat, but if you do, call Dilling!

So I have been working with GSM for about more than a month now. Customer service is always friendly when I call, however they can do better job communicating details of job. I have to call them everyday to see when the part would be coming to finish the repair. Then would take approximately a week to actually get it installed. I understand it's busy season but can do it little sooner.

The gentlemen who came to my house, came to install a dehumidifier in our crawl space. They were considerate, calling when they were going to be a few minutes late, and were very professional. They got the job done quickly and then explained what was done and how the little sensor that goes with the dehumidifier works. GSM is a good company that we have worked with for years and plan to work with for many more.

Bad customer service. I called to get help with my air conditioner. I asked if they serviced my area Amanda said yes. When I told her I have an old unit her voice changed and she hesitated then she said a tech would call me back shortly. No one called all night. The next morning Amanda called and said sorry we don't service your area. I found out from a friend that they do service my area they just didn't want to work on an older unit.

Very bad customer service. Also if that was true the technician should have called back that night and informed me. I waited on a call all night. I could have had a head start and called someone else. They didn't care.

Since the moment we called GSM for what we hoped would be a repair that turned into an HVAC replacement. Everyone at GSM has been friendly and caring, very knowledgeable and helpful. I am so glad we went with GSM. Very pleased with the installation. They answered all our questions, gave suggestions and really made this process easy. Would highly recommend.

Austin was wonderful. We just moved into our home and our heating system was making a loud noise. Knowing it was a new unit we called who installed it. Austin with GSM came out and checked everything throughly. Then explained the system and controls to us. He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Our technician. Zach was friendly, professional and you can tell he really cares. Recommendations were made in a practical and reasonable manner so as to not over inflate or exaggerate. Honest opinions given that are logical and reasoned as to what can wait - and what can't wait. GSM installed our system 11 years ago and has done all maintenance. System is holding up incredibly well and we are quite pleased. Highly recommend!

Andrew and Amanda were our technicians today. They are both courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. It was a heating checkup for us, and they were very efficient. Plus, I love that Amanda scheduled us for our cooling checkup right away. one less thing for me to remember to do! Great job, GSM should be proud to have these two on their team!

Scott and Peyton were actually early which was a good thing. They were respectful of my home, putting on shoe covers before entering. Scott explained everything that they were doing, including that Peyton was a new trainee. I was impressed with his demeanor and his work. Both worked on the heating unit and then did the generator service. Very accomplished service by excellent employees!

We have had to replace our entire heating and vent system in our house during a very cold period. The team lead by Martin have done an amazing job. They are very professional, respectful, and extremely hard working. I am thankful that this crew did the job at my house and would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs this type of work done. These guys deserve an award for amazing customer service and outstanding work.

The GSM Service providers did an excellent job! I would highly recommend their work. My wife and I wanted our microwave to exhaust to the outside. Stephen, Ivan and Craig were very courteous, professional, available to answer any questions we had and were able to flexibly work around our morning schedule. Their work was very clean, organized and thorough.

I have no regrets and would call GSM again because of the work ethic of these men. Tim also, who wrote up the original job order, was very professional and knowledgeable, giving on point advice that made this process very smooth and painless.

We couldn't be happier with the great service GSM provides to our family. Scott came this morning to service our generator and Brad came later in the day to do our furnace tune up. I DO NOT recommend using this company. There is ZERO follow through. Salesman came by to look over heating unit. He was supposed to have an estimate for a replacement to me by the next day. It has been five days later and still no estimate. Salesman pushes me off telling me he will have it to me later in the day and obviously doesn't want or need my business. I guess Jim isn't aware GSM heating isn't the only gig in town.

From start to finish, this company was professional, prompt and extremely knowledgeable. Our whole home generator was installed in just a few hours. They took care of our landscaping as if it were their own, even going so far to relocate one of our azaleas to ensure the exhaust wouldn't dry out the bush. Service: Installation

I needed our attic insulation completely removed and replaced, and I called GSM Services because of their consistently high ratings. From the initial call, to their visit and estimate, I can see why their ratings are so high! Total professionalism, but it felt like I was talking to a personal friend. As others have stated, they were not in a hurry, answered all my questions, and even changed my appointment time when I had an unexpected conflict to better help me.

Once Tim was here, I asked him if he could take a look at another issue I was having in my crawl space. He immediately said "of course" and spent another hour surveying and evaluating that issue. When he was finished, he provided me with multiple solutions to BOTH issues, giving me options from low-cost to more involved/expensive ones, to decide on.

We have decided on the option to take and have scheduled the work in October.even that was done with our convenience in mind! I plan to update this review after the work is completed, but if it's even close to the initial customer service, I will be very pleased!

I was having problems with high humidity in my crawl space. GSM installed a dehumidifier which solved the problem completely for a fraction of the price others were quoting me for a complete redo of my vapor barrier and installing a complicated ATMOX system. The installers were all great to work with and they even came back for a quality check a few months later to see how things were working free of charge. I will definitely use GSM again!

New arrival in Gastonia and the first deep cold snap I had no heat; just the fan blowing. Aux heat did not function and the compressor disconnects below a certain temperature. Called GSM after checking their many 5 star reviews. They did not disappoint. 10 minutes into the visit their tech found the problem: a loose connection in the thermostat. No expensive parts needed, just 10 second tightening of a tiny screw!

The tech and his assistant were excellent. Fast, friendly and professional. Gsm will always be my first call when I have a HVAC problem! No wonder they've been in business so long.

True story. Our upstairs unit had stopped cooling, so we called GSM to come out & take a look. They inspected & told us the compressor had gone bad.minimum of $2k & that we should really just put a new unit in.average $7.5K because there were "probably" other issues with it. We decided to get a second opinion & called Morris Jenkins. There technician came out & inspected it for 10 minutes.

He let us know that the compressor was fine & that a $500 switch just needed to be replaced. The Morris Jenkins tech wasn't sure if the GSM had even looked at the compressor. GSM decided they would rather screw me than provide good service & get a loyal customer. Thanks to Morris Jenkins!

WOW! They were awesome. From the sales rep. Jim Smith; up front, explained everything carefully, listened to what we needed and formed the best possible plan for us. Took his time, answered any and all questions. Stated exactly what they would do, and a shocker in this day and age, ACTUALLY DID IT! Shawn, the project manager, listened carefully, made notes, brought in the installation team foreman, Steve. Wow again, personable, professional. Worked steadily, but always had time, if i had a concern or question. Did a great job; cleaned up after themselves. Made sure they did everything promised, and did it in a professional manner. Everything done to the letter, neat and tidy. Great group of people! So very pleased with the company and all the people that did our job.

After a few years of terrible service from Charlotte Comfort Systems I switched to GSM. What a difference. The techs are so much more knowledgeable and professional. The company stands behind its work and their prices are good. I wish I had them from day one, I would have avoided the other nightmare.

We used GSM for insulation, heat and AC replacement. The experience was excellent. Beginning with the low pressure sales meeting with Wayne to the installation with Sean and the the 2 teams of hard working professionals. Our install occurred during August 2016 when we were having temps in the high 90s. The guys had a rough job and we are very happy with the results. Jeff

It has been 8 months since i gave them a contract to do a roofing job, they still have not finished it, it took them 4 months just to start, they send a new guy each time as a supervisor & he has different excuse for taking so long. so beaware

I have been using this company for 25 years. They always exceed my expectations with their work. They are on time for the appointment, very professional and knowledgable. They aren't in a hurry and answer all my questions. They put in my air conditioner and furnace and do the maintenance on it They are clear about the parts and costs I also have a 30 year old system upstairs and they have been able to keep it going. Yey! They had to build some ductwork a few years ago and did a great job! Very reputable business

We recently had a new HVAC system installed by GSM. Also, a wonderful steam humidifier. The price was exactly what they quoted and the performance of the system is even better than we expected. We had one minor issue after the installation and they addressed it immediately. I admire the fact that GSM employees are obviously proud of the company's reputation and consistently go above and beyond to maintain the trust of their customers.

We always appreciate their commitment to excellence which is certainly reflected in their products, services and, most importantly, in their employees. We've been GSM customers for over 20 years. During that time we've learned, there may be cheaper options out there, but there is no better value.

GSM exceeded my expectations on a recent repair. They were able to come out the next day to diagnosis the system and discuss my repair options. Unfortunately, the blower motor had failed and required replacement. They worked with the manufacturer to determine the part's warranty eligibility. They quoted me a price to replace the motor and even honored that price after the manufacturer came back and clarified that the motor warranty had just expired.

The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. He gladly explained the problem and showed me the failed part. I really appreciate the technician wearing boot covers when entering my home and laying down a rag to protect the floor. GSM is now my first choice for heating and air. Thanks to Mark & Mike!
