Moreno Roofing Company was established in 1975 by Paul Moreno Sr. with an old Chevy pick-up and a small tar kettle. With these two simple tools, Paul Sr. began dazzling friends and neighbors with quality work, honesty and fair prices. Through word of mouth over forty six years, Paul's little roofing company grew to one of the largest in the Tri-County region. Word of mouth is still to this day our biggest customer source; all thanks to the company morals set in place by Paul Sr. nearly 46 years ago.

Came out to do an estimate in January and never received anything. Won't give one star because it seems par for the course with contractors these days that you have to harass people to give them business but disappointing. At first I was intending to call and follow up but then I realized that If I have to bug someone just for the quote that will give them business, then they likely don't have enough time available to do the job anyway. Oh well.

We moved to our new house in Aptos in September 2019 and discovered a pressing need for more natural daylight in 2 rooms. Getting referrals from yelp and Nextdoor, we called in 2 roofing companies to put in skylights. The first had some nice guys but they never gave us an economic proposal - price way high. The second made a visit but never followed up with our phone calls.
Perhaps it was due to a conviction tied to his contractor's license? We learned of Moreno Roofing and Solar, where Paul, the owner, met with us in a very professional manner and suggested sun tunnels instead of skylights. He gave us good pricing and a written bid, which we accepted. Paul had someone in the office always to answer the phone and help with scheduling; all that went smoothly.
He sent his foreman to the house to discuss exact specifications, and soon sent a crew of 3 to make sure the work was done in less than 1 day. The crew was VERY pleasant, worked efficiently, and volunteered for some extra tasks at no additional charge. I would have them again for anything in an instant. The entire experience was very nice and we love our sun tunnels! We strongly recommend this roofing business.
