Hector and his team did a great job replacing our roof. From the initial inspection to installation. The team members that worked on our roof were courteous, friendly, and respectful of our property. What we were most impressed with, was the clean up before they went home at the end of each shift. We definitely would recommend this company to others. They were recommended to us from a previous customer.

Skagit Roofing installed a new roof for us in June of 2021. The whole process was amazing, from the first contact, to the final inspection. Since the roof replacement we have had some wild winds, and tons of rain. Every thing is perfect. The whole experience was completed in a very professional way, and the roofers were great. We got a new roof, repairs to aged sheathing, and added 2 solar tube skylights. Our 25 year old roof needed replacement. The bid was comparable to others, so we chose Skagit Roofing based on the knowledgeable expertise, and clear communication about services/products and, of course, reviews. The work crew was professional, on time, and worked hard.

They cleared the site at the end of each day, and finished with a thorough clean-up. The site manager was available for questions, and to explain the process of the work. We are very satisfied and are recommending Skagit Roofing to our friends.

Skagit Roofing responded to my request for a proposal within hours and had the roof replaced within 2 weeks during a wet January. They provided high quality workmanship that included installation of plywood sheathing, repairing some rotting soffits and installation of new architectural shingles. Great work, fair price and speedy service.

Skagit roofing was the best roofing contractor I've had. After accepting an offer on my home, the lender decided at the last minute that they wanted a new roof before closing the deal. Closing was less than two weeks away and I already had other subs coming in during the week. I spoke with Jim the owner of Skagit roofing on Wednesday and he said he would get a crew out there on the weekend.saturday morning, 3 of his employees showed up early and worked till sundown.

The roof was finished, decks and yard cleaned up and I couldn't have been happier. Kudos to Jim and Skagit Roofing. Also the 3 employees were no slouches. They worked non-stop only breaking for lunch. Great crew.

We had Skagit Roofing perform remove (two layers of old roofing) and replacement with Malarkey 30 Year composite shingle. We were most impressed with the quality of the materials used in the process and the workmanship provided by Skagit Roofing. The crew showed up as schedule removed the old two layers of shingles and performed a good inspection of the sheeting for rot and being property nailed down.

From an Engineering background I was impressed with the quality of the materials used In the valleys called Rain/ Ice membrane which is a fully-adhered roofing underlayment that provides strong adhesion to the roof deck to ensure watertight seal from the weather conditions here in Anacortes (lots of Rain and Heavy Wind) and remain elastic enough to seal around roofing nails.

The roof sheeting was covered with Safeguard 30 Hybrid underlayment which is a new High-performance polyester reinforced Asphalt based underlayment, which makes it extremely tough when compared to the old felt products. The Roof was covered with Malarkey laminated Architectural shingle "Vista", which presented many features we needed for the weather conditions we see here in Anacortes. such as Flexibility during cold conditions, a 130 mph wind warranty, and resistance to color fading, black streaks and 12 years' algae resistance warranty.

The winds rarely get to 130mph here, but that there willing to warranty shingles to this wind load means superior shingle strength and flexibility. It took the three-man crew two days to complete the project which included new drip rails, chimney flashing, and metal valley flashing (which looks great) and replacement of all the roof vents and vent seals. We are totally satisfied with Skagit Roofing and would recommend them and the products described herein to obtain a superior roof.

Skagit Roofing is the best! Jim Hjelt and his team of professionals always do 1st rate work. Anything from a 1 bedroom home to the largest mansion around the Valley. I've personally used Skagit Roofing for work on my own home as well as recommended them several times over the years to my real estate customers. Everyone I've referred to Skagit Roofing has had nothing but great things to say both about the quality of work as well as being fairly priced.

Just had Skagit Roofing re-do our 25+ yr old roof on 2 structures. I have to say, they did everything perfect! The crew even scraped off peeling paint from our (2) metal chimneys, prepped the metal and re-painted them (which was never discussed). They showed up at 7:15 AM every morning, with a crew of 8, and worked non-stop until dark, finishing the job in 3 1/2 days. (I thought this would be a 5-8 day job). Professional, courteous, friendly, and genuinely interested in making a happy customer. BTW, I received bids from 5 other companies, and there were 3 additional who did not even bother to respond. Jim's bid was very competitive, but he was by far the most professional of the bunch. I highly recommend this company.
