Asphalt Roofing Shingles
Report
Tampa Roofing Company is an approved applicator for most major manufacturers and has many different styles and life expectancies to choose from. Generally speaking, if you have seen it, we can install it. We ask for a 30% down payment, but the final payment is not due until you've done a walk through with our sales representative and are fully satisfied.
Architectural Metals
Report
There are some definite advantages of using metal products over asphalt shingles. The most important is wind uplift. Asphalt shingles may start with a 90 to 120 MPH rating, however once the oils in the asphalt start to dry out, the shingles no longer have the same rating. Most asphalt shingles only carry a 10 year rating on their shingles.
Standing Seam Metal Roofs
Report
It is possible to use sealants and rubber fittings to keep the system however, at Tampa Roofing, all of the metal roofs are designed with mechanical fittings. Once the roof is installed and water tight, there are no fittings to wear out. All of the flashings are designed to be mechanically watertight, and not wear out.
Built Up Systems
Report
At Tampa Roofing and the original Rentz Roofing, we have seen many changes in the old hot asphalt built up roofing systems, where the system is done in multi layers, and the system is built up on the roofing surface. Over the years the main roofing felts have changed from the original rag felts that were made from cotton rags, to asbestos felts, back to rag felts that were really made with wood pulp fillers, to fiberglass felts, to the current composition of fiberglass and polyester roofing felts.
