It is never fun having to replace your roof, but my experience with all concerned at Abril Roofing was exceptional. I am very pleased with their installation of a foam roof in place of our tar and gravel roof. Many thanks to Rick Abril, David, the two foreman on my job - Alex and Gabriel, and all the workers involved. I would highly recommend Abril for their quality product and service.

In 2016 Abril Roofing did a recoating of our foam roof. At first it all seemed fine, however in the past two to three years, there is a new leak EVERY TIME IT RAINS. There has also been a longstanding leak in our garage near a drain, and the Abril crew wouldn't admit that the leak is from the roof, and kept claiming that it was from the siding. I have engaged other roofers to take a look and learned from them that foam roofing improperly installed around drain pipes is a common problem.
One of the roofers also said that the layer of foam was much thinner than standard. I'm giving Abril an extra star for at least being responsive for each leak, but the whole point of roofing work is to not have any leaks at all right? Very disappointed in Abril and I wish we had a better experience.

I am very happy with Abril Roofing. We decided to replace our flat tar and gravel roof last summer as part of a rooftop solar project. It wasn't easy to find any roofers at all, especially any willing to work on flat roofs now. Surprisingly, we had several options including tar and gravel, rolled bitumen or PVC, plus spray on foam which I had never heard of before. I liked that option because it added insulation value (about R9 more), was a little less than the others when considering the insulaiton need, and did not require full tear off of the old tar and gravel. Abril has 100's of great references, was responsive, and did an excellent job for us. I am definitely going to call them again and refer them to friends and family. Their crews left our yard spotless each day.

This review is about the company, not the roof. We had them install foam roof a couple years ago, work was completed in a timely manner- communication does lack once you start giving them money but we didn't have any issues at the time so it wasn't a big deal. Fast forward 2 years, we decide to put in mini splits and run lines across and through the roof. Call Rick to get pricing on how much to seal each roof penetration so we could budget out the project.
The initial conversation, he said they didn't have a price they charge per penetrations, the main cost was just getting them out there. Stated not much of a price difference between 2 or 4 penetrations and gave us a ball park that was reasonable. 2 weeks later, project is done, Ended up having a couple more penetrations. when I followed up to have them to come out and seal the penetrations, suddenly they charge per penetrations and price is over $1000 more than he quoted me over the phone. This company is greedy. Get everything in writing because conversations you have with them over the phone don't hold up.
