For more than 80 years, J P Hunter Co Inc has been looking after the East End of Long Island's roofing needs. The company was born when John P Hunter Sr was discharged from the air force, a highly decorated veteran following time spent in a World War II prison camp. He arrived home to Long Island and near-immediately set about starting a family and also a business.

We were the first to offer the very popular designer solid vinyl cedar impression. This material gives the great look of natural cedar with zero maintenance. Another popular siding product we install is called HardiePlank. This is a composite material, fiber cement, that comes in many varied colors and sizes and is virtually impervious to the weather.
